The result is the Tacx FLUX Smart, a highly functional and intuitive bike trainer with its own distinctive silhouette.
The Tacx FLUX Smart is a fully interactive Smart trainer that connects to all your favourite apps through both Bluetooth and ANT+ FE-C technologies. The responsive Smart electronics make sure that the smallest fluctuation in resistance is accurately reflected in your riding experience.
The desire to create an accessible direct drive trainer has meant designing a whole new product. The best riders are able to produce 850 watts for 1 minute, or maintain 450 watts for 20 minutes. The Tacx FLUX Smart has been designed to deliver exactly these power values, making it capable of fulfilling the needs of even passionate cyclists.
Controlled by 8 strong electromagnets, the Tacx FLUX Smart is able to generate a stunning 1500 watts during a sprint. The trainer also feels very smooth due to its 7 kilogram flywheel. The Tacx FLUX Smart has a simple calibration process ensuring tension and power measurements, accurate within 5%, while its internal mechanisms are tuned to simulate a true road feel.
This new inner structure has also meant developing a new outer design: a casing that covers and complements the product whilst honouring the looks of its bigger brother. Its compact design clearly differentiates the Tacx FLUX Smart from other indoor trainers while echoing the stealthy form and durable, sophisticated finish of the top-of-the-line Tacx NEO.
