Wetsuits have become an essential part of any triathlete's equipment. For beginning swimmers they
help to improve your body position making swimming faster and more enjoyable. For stronger swimmers
they can provide an advantage by reducing drag and keeping you higher in the water. Fit is a key
concern in choosing a wetsuit. Call us for help in determining what brand and size will work best for

Fullsuit or Sleeveless?
Choosing between a full sleeve and a sleeveless suit is the primary decision for most swimmers. Here
are some things to consider:
- Speed: Adding sleeves to a sleeveless suit removes the greatest source of
drag on a wetsuit. This makes fullsuits faster for most swimmers.
- Freedom of Movement: Fullsuits may add some restriction to your stroke,
therefore they are best for stronger swimmers with a long, fluid turnover. High quality neoprene
and stretch panel technology will minimize any restriction.
- Warmth: Compared to sleeveless suits, a fullsuit will keep you warm in water
about three degrees colder.
